As Matariki rises,
so does something in us.
This is a special series for Matariki. A space to honour the year that has been, and to prepare for what is coming.
In these two online ceremonies, we explore the cycle at the heart of this time of year: release and receivership. Our capacity to process and let go of what is held in the body is the same capacity that allows us to receive what is new.
As Matariki and our guiding whetu emerge in Ranginui, we use the sacred taonga of te ha, the breath, to journey into te po and return to te ao marama renewed. This is how our tupuna moved through the seasons and cycles of Taiao. There is no separation between what moves in the sky and what moves within us.
Travel the full journey from 26 June to 8 July. Both ceremonies are complete in themselves. Together, they form a whole.

Journey of Release

To release. To let go. To journey deep into the realms of Te Po and understand what is ready to be unearthed, felt, and freed.
This ceremony uses circular connected breath, a continuous rhythmic breathing practice that bypasses the thinking mind and drops beneath the surface. Here, stored emotion, memory and energy held in the body begins to move. What has been waiting to be felt, can finally be felt.
This is a full transformative journey. You will be guided through activation, through the depths, and back into stillness.

To receive. To dream. To bring the body into a state of openness where the visions of your tupuna and nga whetu can arrive.
This ceremony uses connected breath to gently downregulate the nervous system. There is no peak, no intensity. Only a slow, supported descent into stillness and deep rest. You become the vessel that can hold what is coming.
Journey into your moemoea and return with something new.
Each ceremony is held with care and intention.
We begin with karakia and a transmission on the theme of the evening. From there we move into the full guided breath practice. The final portion of each session is held for integration, so you leave with space to land before returning to your world.

Full guided breath journey
The core of each ceremony. You will not be left to navigate this alone. Shannon guides you every step of the way.
Integration time
Space held at the end of each session to land, reflect, and return to yourself before the evening closes.
Your space at home
Find somewhere quiet where you can lie down undisturbed. Bring a blanket, pillow, journal, and eye mask if you have one. It is best not to have a full stomach before the journey.

Breathwork of this nature is activating. Please do not participate if you are currently experiencing:
- Severe asthma or cardiovascular conditions
- Epilepsy
- Pregnancy
- Severe mental health conditions
- Recovery from recent surgery

Who this is for
This series is open to all wahine who feel called. You do not need prior breathwork experience. Come as you are.

Both ceremonies will be available on replay for three weeks following each live session, after which the recordings will be taken down to protect the tapu of the space. If you purchase a space and can no longer attend live, the replay will be available to you within this window. No refunds will be given.
