HineHau (formerly Elevare) is a leadership and breathwork training institute for women.
Rooted in Te Ao Māori, we are here to return the breath to its rightful place as a taonga of healing, reconnection, and collective restoration.
We offer leadership retreats and a 200-hour practitioner certification Globally Accredited by IPHM (International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine).
Learn how to facilitate breathwork to repattern the nervous system and elevate the tinana (body), hinengaro (mind and heart), wairua (spirit), and whanau (family & community).

HineHau is an offering for all wāhine, of every culture, background, and story who feel the call to reconnect with their inner wisdom and reclaim their fullness of breath.
While we are deeply guided by mātauranga Māori, this kaupapa is not only for wāhine Māori. It is open to all who come with respect, reverence, and a willingness to journey inward.
We respect the diverse threads that shape each woman's path, and we welcome all expressions of wairua, whether rooted in ancestral tradition, personal devotion, or quiet conversations with te Atua.
Whether you are reconnecting with your indigeneity, learning to listen to your body, or discovering breathwork for the first time, HineHau is a space where you are welcome.

About Shannon
Shannon comes from the people of Ngāti Porou ki Harataunga, Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Whakahemo and Tūhourangi. She grew up in Tāmaki Makaurau.
She has been a breathwork practitioner since 2017 and is recognised as part of the early wave of facilitators bringing this transformative modality to Aotearoa.
Through HineHau (formely Elevare) she has trained over 50 practitioners in the Breathwav™ modality that specialises in accessing the full spectrum of breath for healing and restoration, grounded in Te Ao Māori.
